This weekend kicks off the 2017 Hawaii Island Festival. This years theme is Malama Hanua, Caring for Mother Earth.

In my opinion, the following events are not to be missed!  The Kindy Sproat Falsetto Contest, this Saturday Sept 9th @ Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at 6PM.

The following weekend, Saturday September 16th @ 10AM is the 42nd Waimea Paniolo Parade!  The Parade ends at the Waimea Baseball Fields with the Ho'olaule'a starting at 11AM. Free and open to the public, there will be music, craft and food vendors, bring the keiki!

The Hawai'i Island Festival, 30 Days of Aloha, was created to perpetuate the cultural traditions and Aloha Spirit of the Big Island through various signature and affiliated events, showcasing the unique  aspects of Hawai'i's rich heritage.
